The founders of Pacific Plantronics, Inc., Mr. Keith Larkin and Mr. Courtney Graham, jointly researched and designed a prototype of a pilot headset - MS50, and at the same time gave the sample to United Airlines. In 1962, NASA astronauts believed that the headphones used in the previous four Mercury missions were cumbersome and bulky. As the mission time increased, they hoped to improve the comfort of wearing the headphones, so NASA engineers contacted Plantronics! After actual use, astronauts liked the thin and light design of the MS50 headset very much, so they asked Plantronics to optimize it according to the helmets worn by astronauts during missions. After modification, Plantronics began to be used in space missions at the end of 1962. In 1969, on the first human lunar landing mission, Apollo 11, Neil Armstrong became the first person in the world to set foot on the moon. His famous saying, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
